Beykoz Vocational School of Logistics Foreign Trade Program faculty member Pervin Ahu Çerçi presented her study titled “Evaluating Gender Inequalities in the Digitalization Process within the Framework of Institutional Reports” at the “New Trends in Economics: Gender” Congress organized by the Economics Department of Istanbul Kültür University.
The study examined the effects of the digitalization process on gender equality in light of national and international institutional reports. It addressed women’s access to digital technologies, their representation in STEM and information technologies, their position in the labor market, and the structural inequalities encountered during the digitalization process.
The presentation emphasized that although digital transformation offers significant opportunities, gender-based inequalities continue to persist, particularly in the fields of education, employment, and technology.
