Transforming approaches in academic publishing, open science practices, and principles of academic integrity will be discussed within the scope of the II. Academic Library Meetings. The seminar titled “Open Access, Open Science, and Academic Integrity” will be held on March 11, 2026, between 09:30 and 16:00 at the Kavacık Schools of Higher Education Campus Conference Hall.
The seminar will comprehensively address open access policies, the open science ecosystem, the visibility of research outputs, ethical principles in publishing processes, and current approaches to safeguarding academic integrity. The event aims to provide a platform for information and experience sharing among libraries, researchers, and all stakeholders interested in academic publishing.
Within the program, speakers will include İzmir Institute of Technology Head of the Library and Documentation Department, OpenAIRE Board Member and Research Ecosystems Co-Founder Gültekin Gürdal; Springer Nature Licensing Manager Selin Şencanlı; Online Information Sales Manager Serenay Baykara; and Turnitin Türkiye Country Manager Yasemin Arşın.
With contributions from experts in their fields, the seminar aims to raise participants’ awareness of current developments and to introduce best practice examples related to academic production processes.
The event will be open to all participants interested in the topic.
