As part of the Open Lesson events organized by the Institute of Graduate Programmes, the event titled “Post-Truth Agnotology: The Deliberate and Strategic Production of Ignorance in New Media” will be held online on Wednesday, June 3.
The event will discuss how misinformation, manipulation, and strategically produced ignorance spread through new media environments, as well as the effects of digital media tools on public perception in the post-truth era.
The speaker of the event will be Independent Researcher Dr. Müge Yılmaz, while the moderation will be conducted by Res. Assist. Dr. Erdinç Kaygusuz, a faculty member of the Faculty of Art and Design.
