The Graduate Programs Institute will host an online event titled "From Agora to Algorithms: The Transformation of the Public Sphere" on Friday, June 5, at 7.00 PM via Zoom.
Organized as part of the New Communication Technologies course, the event will feature Dr. Alican Özer, an independent researcher, as the guest speaker. The session will be moderated by Res. Asst. Dr. Erdinç Kaygusuz.
The event will explore the historical development of the concept of the public sphere and examine how digitalization and algorithmic systems are transforming contemporary public spaces. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the impact of communication technologies on social interaction from various perspectives.
All students and academics interested in the transformation of the public sphere from past to present are invited to attend.
