Beykoz University organized a meaningful commemoration program on the 4th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Victory Day on November 8. Held on November 5, 2025, the event highlighted the brotherhood between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, as well as the shared cultural values of the Turkic world. The speakers emphasized the historical importance of the victory, bonds of unity, and common identity across the Turkic nations.
The program began with a short documentary screening titled “The Road to the Karabakh Victory!”. Opening remarks were delivered by Beykoz University Rector Prof. Dr. Burak Küntay and Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Baki Aksu. In their speeches, they underlined that the Karabakh Victory was not only a military triumph but also a struggle achieved through national unity, justice, and strong belief.
The event also featured speeches from KİAMP Türkiye General Coordinator Dr. Elvin Abdurahmanlı, Academic and KİAMP Deputy Coordinator Dr. Caner Karakuş, Editor-in-Chief of Adaletin Zaferi Newspaper Mahnaz Rahimova, and Vice President of the Foundation for Relatives of Martyrs and Veterans of Turkic States, Attorney Arb. İbrahim Gögsu. The speakers discussed the international reflections of the Karabakh Victory, its place in collective memory, and its significance for the Turkic world.
During the speeches, a reference was made to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s remark, “The sorrow of Azerbaijan is our sorrow, their joy is our joy,” emphasizing that the principle of “one nation, two states” continues to be strongly upheld between Türkiye and Azerbaijan.
The program was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Burak Küntay, Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Baki Aksu, Secretary General Serpil Süer, Deputy Secretary General Melike Tümen, Director of International Relations Dilber Aliyeva Gögsu, the International Relations Office team, and students.
The event concluded with the presentation of certificates to participants and a group photo session.
