Beykoz University Participated in the “2053 Vision Workshop on International Student Recruitment in Türkiye”

The “2053 Vision Workshop on International Student Recruitment in Türkiye”, organized by the Study in Türkiye brand under the coordination of the Service Exporters’ Association (HİB), was held in Istanbul on December 29, 2025. Beykoz University was among the participating universities at the workshop.

The opening speeches of the workshop, which brought together representatives from relevant public institutions, public and foundation universities, and agencies operating in the field of international student recruitment, were delivered by Mustafa Gültepe, President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM); Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Vice Chairman of the HİB Board of Directors and Chair of the Education Services Sector Committee; Tarık Sönmez, Director General of International Services Trade at the Ministry of Trade; and Dr. Fatih Özer, Secretary General of HİB.

Within the scope of the event, informative presentations were delivered by Mehmetali Akdağ, Former Education Counselor of the Ministry of National Education at the Embassy in Warsaw; Yusuf Karataş, Head of the Visa Department at the Directorate General of Foreigners, Presidency of Migration Management, Ministry of Interior; Mustafa Efe, Head of the Department of International Relations at the Council of Higher Education; and Harun Aydoğmuş, Deputy Director General of International Labor at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. The presentations focused on Türkiye’s international student policies, visa and residence permit procedures, internationalization goals in higher education, and post-graduation employment opportunities.

During the workshop’s roundtable sessions, Dilber Aliyeva Gögsu, Acting Director of International Relations at Beykoz University, served as a moderator at the table titled “Social and Academic Integration of International Students and Turkish Language Proficiency.”

In the closing panel of the workshop, student experiences were discussed under the title “Türkiye from the Perspective of International Students: Satisfaction and Challenges.” During the panel, M. Wasay Abbasi, one of Beykoz University’s international students, took the floor on behalf of the students and shared expectations and experiences of international students studying in Türkiye.

Continuing to take an active role in national and international platforms, Beykoz University remains committed to contributing to Türkiye’s goal of becoming a global hub of attraction in higher education in line with its internationalization vision.
