Beykoz University Participated in the AB Funding Opportunities and Networking Event Organized by IMM

The “AB Funding Opportunities Information and Networking Event”, organized by the International Relations Department of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), was held on December 24, 2025, at the İSKİ General Directorate Yusuf Ziya Erdem Conference Hall. Representing Beykoz University at the event were Prof. Dr. Ahmet Murat Köseoğlu from the Faculty of Business and Administrative Sciences, Assist. Prof. Serap Nazır from the Faculty of Arts and Design, and Assist. Prof. İnal Begüm Turna Demirel from the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture.

Within the scope of the event, European Union funding opportunities, Horizon Europe, and EIT programmes were discussed, providing a productive networking environment aimed at strengthening inter-institutional cooperation.

  • The main objectives of the meeting were identified as follows:
  • Sharing up-to-date information on European Union funding mechanisms,
  • Enhancing project development and networking opportunities among municipalities, universities, public institutions, and ecosystem stakeholders,
  • Strengthening Türkiye’s application capacity, particularly within the scope of EIT Community, Horizon Europe, and other EU funding programmes,
  • Positioning universities as strategic partners for municipalities in the fields of research, education, and innovation.

As the second phase of the initiative, a meeting with IMM officials has been scheduled to take place at our University on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 1:30 PM. Academic staff members who wish to participate are kindly requested to contact the R&D Coordination Office.
