Volunteer-Based Collaboration Protocol Signed Between Beykoz University and LÖSEV

A cooperation protocol was signed between Beykoz University and the Foundation for Children with Leukemia (LÖSEV) with the aim of developing students’ sense of social responsibility and touching the lives of children with leukemia.

This partnership, implemented within the scope of the “LÖSEV Benefit Project” carried out by LÖSEV at universities, focuses on encouraging students to take an active role in social responsibility projects and fostering their awareness of civil society.

The cooperation protocol was signed by Ayşe Ertuğrul, Istanbul Provincial Coordinator of LÖSEV, and Assist. Prof. Aysun Varan, Coordinator of Beykoz University Corporate Collaborations (B’Partners). The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Pınar Seden Meral, Beykoz University Social Contribution Coordinator; Özlen Filmer, LÖSEV Istanbul Benefit Project Officer; Birsen Usta, Acting Director of the Beykoz University Career Center; Mert Doğuç Dağlı, Career Center Specialist; and Ece Nur Enci, a student from the Political Science and International Relations Program.

Students Will Take an Active Role in the Field

With the signed protocol, Beykoz University students will be able to volunteer in awareness activities, social and cultural events, and public health awareness initiatives carried out within LÖSEV.

The main objectives of the collaboration are:

  • To help students develop sensitivity toward social issues.
  • To enable students to gain field experience through volunteer activities.
  • To institutionalize cooperation between universities and non-governmental organizations.

Speaking at the ceremony, LÖSEV Istanbul Provincial Coordinator Ayşe Ertuğrul emphasized that the energy of university youth is of great value for the foundation’s work. B’Partners Coordinator Assist. Prof. Aysun Varan stated that they are pleased to make volunteerism a part of university culture and added: “We aim to develop the LÖSEV Benefit Project into a flagship course within the social responsibility courses offered at our University.”
