Prof. Dr. Mohamed Muse Jibril, Rector of Amoud University operating in Somalia, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Heban Awale, International Office Coordinator, and the university’s representatives in Türkiye met with Beykoz University Rector Prof. Dr. Burak Küntay, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Pınar Seden Meral and Prof. Dr. Aylin Ünver Noi, Vice Secretary General Melike Tümen, and Dilber Aliyeva Gögsu from the Directorate of International Relations to discuss the existing collaboration between the two universities as well as potential future areas of cooperation.
During the meeting, it was noted that there are currently students studying within the scope of the existing collaboration between Amoud University and Beykoz University. The parties reached a consensus on increasing the number of students through further initiatives.
The meeting also addressed several key areas, including the development of student exchange programs, the implementation of joint academic projects, the organization of seminars, conferences, and various academic events, as well as strengthening interfaculty collaboration and joint studies.
In addition to enhancing relations with Somalia, the importance of expanding academic and institutional collaborations across Africa was emphasized. Beykoz University’s vision to strengthen its engagement with Africa was also highlighted among the prominent topics of the meeting.
