The event titled “New Media and the Changing Landscape of Sports Broadcasting,” organized by Prof. Dr. Zeliha Hepkon, a faculty member of the Communication and Design Program at the Faculty of Art and Design, was held on May 6, 2026, at 12.00 PM in the Conference Hall of the Kavacık Schools of Higher Education Campus.
The event hosted Technical Director Aykut Kocaman and sports broadcasting expert Bozkurt K. Yılmaz as guest speakers. During the program, the impact of new media on sports broadcasting, the reflections of digital transformation on sports media, and the changing habits of audiences were discussed.
Participants had the opportunity to evaluate the relationship between sports and media through industry experiences while gaining up-to-date insights into the transformation of sports broadcasting in the age of new media.
The event concluded as an important gathering that brought together the academic and professional dimensions of the field.
