Students of Beykoz Üniversitesi achieved a significant success within the scope of the “2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program” conducted by TÜBİTAK. The projects that were entitled to receive support once again demonstrated our students’ competencies in scientific research, innovative thinking, and project development.
Prepared by students from various disciplines, the supported projects cover a wide range of fields including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, sustainability, game design, entrepreneurship, media studies, logistics, aviation, and food technologies. Conducted under the guidance of academic advisors, these projects aim both to contribute to scientific production and to create social benefit.
Among the projects that received support are Irmak Avcı’s project titled “Adoption of Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Digital Transformation in SMEs: An Integrated Technology, Organization and Environment Model,” supervised by Assist. Prof. Aslıhan Bekaroğlu; Tuana Nohut’s project “An Improved Genetic Algorithm for the University Course Timetabling Problem: The Case of Beykoz University,” supervised by Lecturer Cem Kazan; and Ahmet Emir Çelik’s study titled “Risk Modeling and Analysis in Cold Chain Transportation Using Real Temperature Data.”
In addition, İsmail Onur Kuzkaya’s project “Artificial Intelligence-Based Classification and Anomaly Detection for Secure Radar Data,” Furkan Efe Aslan’s “AI-Supported System Predicting Climate-Induced Migration,” Zeynep Diz’s study on “The Impact of AI-Generated Content on Perception of Reality,” and Zeynep Nisa Şahin’s research examining the effects of deepfake-generated manipulative content on university students’ perceptions of credibility were also among the supported projects.
In the fields of game design and digital media, notable projects included Gökhan Mert’s “From Video Games to Cinematic Narrative: The Aesthetics of Cutscenes,” Necati Berk Semiz’s project on the global promotion and universalization of Turkish and Anatolian mythology through the game industry, Fatma Beril Bilgen’s serious digital game design focused on environmental protection, and Süha Taşçı’s digital game project themed around home security.
In the field of food technologies, Cennet Birinci’s project titled “Production of Functional Baby Biscuits Enriched with Protein and Fiber Using Amaranth Flour” received support, while studies conducted by Ömer Omak and Arda Turgut in the fields of entrepreneurship and consumer behavior were also accepted.
Among the projects developed in aviation and business fields, Eylül İkra Kuşcu’s conceptual model examining the impact of AI-based solutions on operational efficiency and passenger satisfaction in the aviation sector, as well as Cemre Naz Hantaş’s project, were found worthy of support. Furthermore, Sermin Altun’s study investigating the effects of short film and documentary screening activities on university students’ empathy and social awareness levels was also accepted into the program.
As Beykoz Üniversitesi, we sincerely congratulate all of our students and academic advisors whose projects were accepted and wish them continued success in their scientific research and production journeys.
