Beykoz University Aviation Management (English Program) student and national athlete Elif Naz KARA achieved a remarkable double success by winning two silver medals at the 2026 FISU World University Combat Sports Championships held in Brazil.
Organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) in Brasília, the capital of Brazil, between 8–13 June 2026, the event brought together nearly 1,500 athletes from around 50 countries, while 51 university athletes represented Türkiye. Elif Naz Kara delivered outstanding performances in the Women’s Wushu Taolu Nanquan and Women’s Nandao categories, earning two silver medals and proudly representing both Türkiye and Beykoz University on the international stage.
Previously drawing attention with her double championship title at the Balkan Championships, Elif Naz Kara has been among the key athletes of the national team with her achievements in the Turkish Wushu Kung Fu Championships and ÜNİLİG competitions. Most recently, she became the Turkish champion at the ÜNİLİG Wushu Kung Fu National Championships, winning three gold medals in Optional Nanquan, Optional Nandao, and Dadao categories, which secured her qualification for the FISU World Championships.
Her two world silver medals in Brazil stand as a strong indicator of her consistent rise and international-level success.
We wholeheartedly congratulate our student on this outstanding achievement and extend our thanks to her coaches and everyone who supported her success.
