As part of the Architectural Design 1 course, students visited the Istanbul Biennial to explore the relationship between contemporary art, space, and critical thinking through firsthand experience.
During the field study, students toured various exhibition venues featured in the biennial, examining installation practices, spatial configurations, and diverse forms of contemporary artistic expression. Through the exhibited works, they had the opportunity to observe the role of space in cultural production and the interaction between art and architecture.
The visit provided an applied learning experience that encouraged students to critically evaluate the relationship between contemporary art and spatial experience while strengthening their understanding of the cultural dimensions of architectural space.
