Job Fair’25

Organized through the collaboration of the Career Center Directorate and academic units, Job Fair’25 was held between December 8–12, 2025. The event began with the opening speech delivered by Vice Rector of Beykoz University, Prof. Dr. Baki Aksu.

As part of the summit, District Governor of Beykoz, Dr. Fatih Ürkmezer, met with students in a talk titled “Leadership in Local Governments: Professional Experiences in Public Administration.” Dr. Ürkmezer shared valuable insights on the role of provincial administrative authorities in Türkiye, the fundamental dynamics of public administration, leadership approaches in local governments, and professional experiences gained in the public sector. He also offered guiding remarks for students aspiring to pursue careers in public administration.

The event continued with a talk by Retired Ambassador Ayşe Sezgin titled “The Art of Diplomacy: Principles, Challenges, and Career Paths.” Ambassador (Ret.) Sezgin addressed the core principles of modern diplomacy, the contemporary challenges faced by diplomats, and the pathways for students aiming to build careers in this field. The talk also examined how diplomatic representation is evolving within the changing international system, as well as the impact of crisis management, the rise of digital diplomacy, and emerging threats such as disinformation on diplomatic processes.

In addition, Ambassador (Ret.) Sezgin shared insights into examination processes, required competencies, professional preparation stages, and her first-hand experiences from the field with students interested in pursuing a career in diplomacy.
