Cooperation Protocol Signed Between Beykoz University and BEMEV on Addiction Awareness

A cooperation protocol aimed at developing joint studies in the field of addiction awareness and prevention was signed between Beykoz University and the Addiction Prevention Education Foundation (BEMEV) during a signing ceremony held on December 11, 2025.

The protocol was signed by Prof. Dr. Burak Küntay, Rector of Beykoz University, and Uğur Okay, President of the Addiction Prevention Education Foundation (BEMEV).

Within the scope of the protocol, the parties aim to carry out educational activities, seminars, talks, and social responsibility projects to increase awareness of addiction-related issues. The cooperation also seeks to support academic and applied studies, with a particular focus on awareness-raising activities for young people.

During the signing ceremony, it was underlined that addressing addiction requires a collective approach and that cooperation between universities and civil society organizations plays a significant role in this process. Through this protocol, it is intended to bring together academic knowledge and field experience to develop sustainable and meaningful initiatives.

In line with its mission of social contribution, Beykoz University continues to engage in collaborative, awareness-oriented, and solution-focused projects that address social issues.
