Beykoz University School of Civil Aviation Launches Branded Courses with IGA Academy
Beykoz University School of Civil Aviation has launched the “Branded Courses” project in collaboration with IGA Academy as of the Spring Semester of the 2025–2026 academic year. Within this framework, students of the Aviation Management Program will come together with industry professionals each week to engage in practice-oriented sessions focusing on different sector-specific topics.
The first session of the project was held with the participation of Samet Aldemir, Deputy Director of Training and Development at IGA Academy. The session addressed the Continuous Improvement Approach of Istanbul Airport, providing students with insights into operational excellence, process improvement culture, and corporate learning practices within a large-scale airport organization.
The Branded Courses model offers a flexible educational approach that directly integrates academic knowledge with industry practices. Throughout the course, students reinforce their theoretical background through real-life projects, case analyses, and current sector dynamics. In addition, direct interaction with industry experts, access to in-company training materials, and mentorship opportunities contribute to the development of their professional perspective. This structure strengthens knowledge and experience transfer between academia and industry while aiming to enhance students’ competitive advantage after graduation.
Prof. Dr. Erhan Bütün, Director of the School of Civil Aviation, emphasized that university–industry collaborations play a decisive role in students’ career development and stated that this initiative launched with IGA Academy further reinforces their practice-based education approach.
