March Evaluation Meeting Held with Student Quality Representatives

Our university held an evaluation meeting with Student Quality Representatives as part of the March quality activities. During the meeting, information was provided on the quality processes carried out at our university, and the importance of active student participation in these processes was emphasized.

In the first part of the meeting, Quality Coordinator Assist. Prof. Hüsniye Fırat delivered a comprehensive briefing on the quality activities conducted in March, ongoing processes, and planned initiatives. The role and contributions of student quality representatives within the quality assurance system were particularly highlighted.

Following this, STF student Vildan Özmen Aydın, who participated in the Student Quality Representatives Workshop organized by Kocaeli University, shared her experiences from the workshop. It was noted that the communication and collaboration opportunities established with student representatives from different universities increased awareness of quality processes.

As part of the program, Acting Director of the Career Center Birsen Usta also delivered a presentation titled “Career Opportunities and Prospects” for students. The presentation included valuable information on effective CV preparation, developing technical and social skills, interview processes, and career planning.

During the Q&A session, students’ questions were addressed, with particular attention given to requests from graduate students regarding internship opportunities. It was emphasized that internship applications depend on the curriculum of the respective programs and can be developed in line with necessary adjustments.

In the final part of the meeting, the opinions and suggestions of student representatives were collected. Information was provided about the training programs to be held in April, and the B’MYS system—through which students can submit their requests, suggestions, and feedback—was introduced. Additionally, students requested guidance on LinkedIn usage.

The meeting marked an important step in supporting the active participation of student quality representatives in quality processes and promoting a culture of quality throughout our university.
