Beykoz University and IstanPol Host Panel on NATO's Southern Flank

Beykoz University, in collaboration with the Istanbul Policy Research Institute (IstanPol), successfully hosted the panel titled "NATO's Southern Flank: The Middle East, Transatlantic Relations, and Türkiye's Strategic Role."

The event began with opening remarks by Dr. Seren Selvin Korkmaz and Dr. Edgar Şar, Founding Partners and Co-Directors of IstanPol. Moderated by Assoc. Prof. Pınar Sayan, the panel brought together leading academics and experts to discuss NATO's strategic priorities, regional security dynamics, and Türkiye's role within the transatlantic alliance.

Prof. Dr. Burak Küntay evaluated Türkiye's strategic vision in light of the evolving regional security architecture. Prof. Dr. Aylin Ünver Noi addressed Türkiye–EU–NATO relations, focusing on current challenges and future opportunities for cooperation. Alissa Pavia discussed Türkiye's engagement in North Africa and its impact on regional security, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Howard Eissenstat analyzed Türkiye–Israel relations in the context of ongoing regional developments.

The panel provided an important platform for sharing academic and policy-oriented perspectives on the future of NATO's southern flank, transatlantic relations, and developments in the Middle East.
