Assist. Prof. Özgül Akıncı, faculty member of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Beykoz University, has been appointed Conference Chair of the 32nd Performance Studies international (PSi) Conference, which will be held in Istanbul in 2027.
The announcement that the 2027 edition of the conference will take place in Istanbul was made during the 31st Performance Studies international (PSi) Conference, held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 15 to 18 July 2026.
Recognized as one of the leading international events in the field of performance studies, the Performance Studies international (PSi) Conference is held in a different country each year, bringing together academics, researchers, and artists from around the world. As Conference Chair of the 2027 edition, Assist. Prof. Özgül Akıncı will oversee the academic coordination of the event, which is expected to bring together distinguished scholars and practitioners in the field on an international platform.
