2021-2022 Erasmus+ Applications for Student Mobility for Study and International Credit Mobility

The 11th Agricultural Food and Cold Chain Logistics Symposium will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 between 09:30 and 17:00 on Zoom, with the main theme of "Food Safety and Cold Chain Logistics".

4th International Congress on Tourism, Economics and Business Sciences/ 3rd National Congress of Tourism, Economics and Business Sciences Beykoz University Faculty of Business and Management Sciences will host the "4th Annual Meeting".

The 2nd National Occupational Health and Safety Student Congress will be held between 10:00 and 18:00 on April 3-4, 2021, where the Rectors of Üsküdar University, Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesi (University of Health Sciences) and Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University will deliver their opening speeches together with our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Durman. Our academic staff and all students are invited to the event.

The new EFQM Model Basic Training was held on August 26, 2020. The updated contents of the EFQM Model were conveyed in the training carried out by our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Durman, academic and administrative staff and Management Consultant, EFQM Instructor Celal Seçkin.

"Career Week in Railways", was held as an online seminar by the cooperation between Rail Systems Club, T.C. Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, State Railways of the Republic of Turkey and State Railways Transportation Co., Kayseri Transportation, Arkas Lojistik, on 15-19 February 2021.

The 'National Athlete Scholarship Promotion Meeting' was held, where national athletes with international achievements with the initiatives of the Presidency and the Ministry of Youth and Sports had the opportunity to study at 52 foundation universities with a 100 percent scholarship.

The Double Major and Minor applications of our students studying at our university have started.

With the collaboration between Beykoz University Faculty of Business and Management Sciences and Switzerland-based Game Solution Ag. ; "İşletme Simulasyonu" and "Business Simulation" courses are starting in the departments of Business Administration (Turkish) and Business Administration (English) in the spring semester of 2020-2021.

The Occupational Promotion and Career Planning İn Railways Event was held on Friday, January 22 at 19:00 on zoom. The opening speech was delivered by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Baki Aksu and participation was intense in the broadcast. Okan Çalıova, President of the Association of Rail Systems Technology Graduates, and Emirhan Yolcu, President of the Rail Systems Club, contributed to the opening speech.

Sector Meeting of Thursday, January 14. Turkey's guest was Panasonic Life Solutions HR and Corporate Development Vice President Mr. Mutlu Kutlu. In the conversation we held with the participation of our students and teachers; we talked about the concept of corporate development and the human resources practices that companies have recently adopted. Thanks again to Mr. Mutlu for his valuable contributions.

The guest of the Meetings with the Industry on Thursday, January 7 was Piri Reis University Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. A. Zafer Acar. In the conversation we held with the participation of our students and academicians, we talked about Turkey's status in the logistics sector, recent developments in supply chain and logistics, universities and distance education process, academic career issues. We would like to thank our Zafer Hoca for his valuable contributions.

This week's guest of the Meetings with the Sector was, Beykoz University Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Engin Özmen. In the conversation we held with the participation of our students and academicians; we talked about the status and development of the logistics industry in Turkey, supply chain management and logistics applications in the contribution of the digital conversion and companies’ green logistics applications. We thank our Chairman of the Board of Trustees for his valuable contribution.

As you know, with the enactment of our R&D Incentive Directive, we have intensified our research and development activities in the last year. In this context, we encourage our faculty members in their research and development activities with support such as research project support, research infrastructure support, publication awards, and conference participation support.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of the journalist and academician from our University Faculty of Art and Design, who has been treated for his illness for a while, Asts. Prof. Dr. Zafer Özdemir. We extend our condolences to our esteemed teacher, who is a scientist who is beneficial to his country and humanity, God's mercy, his family, relatives and all his loved ones.

Beykoz University Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Durman has been appointed as the Rector of our university for the second time with the Presidential Decree No. 2021/19 dated January 1, 2021.

Our university's 2021-2027 Erasmus Higher Education Statement (ECHE 2021-2027) application has been accepted by the European Union. In May 2020, on behalf of our university, as the Erasmus Coordinator, an application was made to obtain the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education Certificate valid between 2021-2027 within the scope of the Erasmus + Project.

The Research Awards Ceremony was held online on Thursday, January 7, with the participation of our academic and administrative staff.
