In line with the press statement made today by the Chairperson of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, the following decisions have been taken by our University Senate.

Presidency of the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) has decided that it is appropriate for the universities in Turkey to complete the spring term of the 2022-2023 academic year through distance education.

As a result of the latest tragic earthquake disaster that has deeply moved us all, the Council of Higher Education has issued a press release dated 09.02.2023 announcing that all universities are to temporarily suspend the start of the 2022-2023 Academic Year Spring Semester until further notice. In that respect, our university has temporarily suspended education at all levels.

Due to the earthquake disaster in our country and the adverse weather conditions in Istanbul, the courses in our associate, undergraduate, graduate and preparatory programs between 8-11 February 2023 will be held online at the scheduled and announced hours.

We are all deeply sorry today, like the entire country, because of the latest earthquake that hit Kahramanmaraş and affected many other provinces. We offer our condolences to the loved ones and friends of those that have lost their lives, and wish a quick recovery for those that have been injured. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of them in this difficult time.

The Institute of Graduate Programs Director List Certificate Ceremony will be held on December 20, 16.30 in our Kavacık Campus Conference Hall.

The certificate ceremony for the students that have made it to the 2021-2022 Spring Semester Rector's, Dean's and Director's Honour Lists is going to be held in the Conference Hall of our Kavacık and Bachelor Programs Campus.

2022-2023 academic year fall semester midterm exams will be held face-to-face in formal and distance education programs between 14-20 November 2022. The current exam schedule for undergraduate and associate degree students has been announced on our website.

2022-2023 Fall Semester started on September 26, 2022. In all our programs, education and training have been planned to be carried out using face-to-face, hybrid (some courses will be fully online) and blended (face-to-face and online) education models.
