Dear Students,
The Double Major and Minor applications of our students studying at our university have started.
Double Major
The double major refers to the program that provides two separate diplomas which can be taken simultaneously between the University associate degree programs and other associate degree programs, between the bachelor programs and other bachelor programs or the associate degree programs that are opened with the approval of the senate upon the recommendation of the relevant departments and faculty / school boards.
Second major diploma program;
Our students studying in associate degree programs; they will be able to apply at the beginning of the second semester at the earliest and at the beginning of the third semester at the latest.
Our students studying in bachelor programs; students will be able to apply at the beginning of the third semester at the earliest and at the beginning of the fifth semester at the latest.
- Our students studying in bachelor programs can do a double major among other bachelor or associate degree programs of our university.
- Our students studying in associate degree programs can do a double major in their own Vocational School programs, as well as a double major in other Vocational School programs.
Application Conditions
In order to apply for a second major program with the same score type;
- Successful completion of all courses taken in the major diploma program and a minimum GPA of 2.72 out of 4,
- Being in the first 20% of the major diploma program according to the ranking of success in the relevant class,
- For students who are not included in the first 20% according to the ranking of success in the relevant class of the major diploma program, the students must have achieved the base score of the second major program in the year they are placed in the major program
- Meeting the other conditions, if any, for the second major program by YÖK or the University,
- The student who wants to do a double major in the programs for which the success ranking condition is required, must meet the success ranking requirement determined by the Higher Education Council of the relevant program in the year of enrollment.
In order to apply for a second major program with a different score type;
- Successful completion of all courses taken in the major diploma program and a minimum GPA of 2.72 out of 4,
- Having achieved the base score of the second major program in the year placed in the major program,
- Meeting the other conditions, if any, for the second major program by YÖK or the University,
- The student who wants to do a double major in the programs that require success ranking must meet the success ranking condition determined by the Higher Education Council of the relevant program in the year of enrollment.

Minor
Minor program refers to the program that allows students enrolled in a diploma program to receive a certificate that does not substitute a diploma (minor certificate) by taking a limited number of courses on a specific subject within our university, provided that they meet the prescribed requirements.
Application Conditions
- Students can apply to the minor program at the beginning of the third semester of the major program at the earliest and at the beginning of the sixth semester at the latest.
- In order to apply for a minor program; until the semester applied, s/he must successfully complete all the courses s/he has taken in the major diploma program s/he is enrolled in and her/his GPA must be at least 2.50 out of 4.
- Students cannot enroll in a new minor program while enrolled in a minor program.
- In order for a student enrolled in the University's programs through bachelor transfer or vertical transfer to apply for a minor program, it is compulsory to study for at least one semester in the enrolled program.
- A student who wishes to apply for a minor program to bachelor diploma programs in a foreign language must pass the University's Foreign Language Proficiency Exam or get 60 points from the foreign language exam conducted by ÖSYM or the score determined by the Senate from the exams accepted by ÖSYM. It must be documented that foreign language documents, whose validity period is not specified, were received within the last 5 years before the application.
- Students may be enrolled in or enroll in a minor program while continuing their second major program.
