About the Faculty of Business and Administrative Sciences

Today's businesses continue their activities in an environment of constant change. No matter what scale or sector they operate in, the vast majority of today's businesses face significant global competition, not just competition in the countries or regions where their organizations are located. All assets are important for the success of a business. However, the most valuable asset of an organization is human resources. Today, it is seen that the enterprises that successfully survive in the national, regional and international business environment, above all; have qualified human resources with vision, strong knowledge, skill and experience.

National and international businesses always need strong leaders, managers who can think analytically, and well-equipped personnel in business management. A well-educated, equipped and talented individual has the opportunity to pursue a successful career in small, medium and large enterprises in almost every industry, nationally and internationally. In this context, the Business Administration (English) program within our Faculty has been awarded the STAR accreditation, valid for three years, by meeting international quality standards. This accreditation certifies the international recognition and academic competence of our educational program.

The rapid increase in global competition requires that future operators and managers be creative and entrepreneurial individuals who are equipped with modern knowledge, open to innovations. Our aim to open bachelor programs in Business Administration (Turkish and English), International Trade and Finance (English) and Logistics Management (English) under the Faculty of Business and Administrative Sciences at Beykoz University is; thanks to the contemporary training programs we will prepare by considering the changing conditions in the fields of business administration, international trade and finance, logistics management and the new needs brought about by these conditions; to train qualified managers of the future who are aware of the ethical, social and legal responsibilities of an organization, investigative, open to innovations, equipped with modern management information.

In order to achieve this goal, our main principles will be:

  • Besides courses on subjects that form the basis of business, international trade and logistics management education, supporting our students with courses such as leadership, behavioral sciences, communication and entrepreneurship, as well as courses such as mathematics, statistics, law, operational research, information processing, management information systems, which are in the position of service, and to provide their knowledge in these subjects,
  • Including courses and activities on culture, fine arts and sports that can contribute to the social development of students in our programs.
  • To improve the leadership, team building and project management skills,
  • To be able to train our students so that they can communicate effectively with individuals and work in harmony and produce synergies in teams consisting of individuals from different disciplines,
  • To ensure that our students grow up in a professional business environment that can benefit from modern information technologies and tools, are willing to learn continuously, are open to innovations and can easily adapt to changes,
  • To develop active and collaborative learning and lifelong learning skills in the subjects they focus on,
  • To improve the skills to behave sensitive to business ethics, social responsibilities and law in the decisions and practices related to the issues within their responsibilities,
  • To gain the ability to follow the developments related to the international business environment and to become familiar with the problems outside of their business environment,
  • To improve the ability of problem solving and decision making by being aware of ethical values ​​and social responsibilities,
  • To develop analytical thinking and organizational problem-solving skills,
  • To examine cultural differences and to raise awareness of their positive or negative effects on commercial activities and negotiations,
  • Enabling experts, managers and business people in various subjects to give lectures at least once a month, to share their experiences, success and failure stories with students, apart from the courses in the program,
  • To comprehend the national, regional and global problems, to gain the ability to develop solutions based on scientific research.
