Big Data Analytics

Program Objective

The Big Data Analytics Program is a two-year associate degree program offered under the Vocational School of Beykoz University. The program aims to train individuals who can think in a data-driven manner, understand the fundamental structures of computer systems, and develop solutions to technology-based problems.

The educational process is not limited to basic programming and data management skills; it also offers introductory-level knowledge and practical content in the rapidly developing fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Students learn to work with large datasets, perform data analysis, and become familiar with basic algorithms for developing learning systems. This way, they gain a foundation that enables them to adapt to current technologies and prepares them for specialization in related fields.

The program admits students based on their score from the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT). In the first three semesters of the four-semester program, students complete theoretical and vocational courses at the university; in the final semester, they participate in “Workplace Practice Training” within sector organizations, gaining hands-on experience in the business world. This applied model allows students to improve their professional skills and adapt to the industry before graduation.

Graduates of the program may transfer to four-year undergraduate programs through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS). They also have the opportunity to pursue their undergraduate education abroad, enabling them to continue their academic and professional development at an international level.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the Big Data Analytics Program, equipped with data-driven thinking and analytical skills, can work in various positions across many sectors. They can be employed as Data Analysts, Big Data Engineers, Business Intelligence Specialists, Machine Learning Specialists, Data Scientists, or Database Administrators. These roles offer broad career opportunities, particularly in data-intensive industries such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, marketing, e-commerce, and the public sector. Additionally, graduates who continue their undergraduate studies have the chance to pursue an academic career or deepen their expertise in related fields.
