The OAI-15 “Practical Approaches to Assessing Writing Skills” event was held on November 7–8, 2025, hosted by Nişantaşı University. Bringing together educators from across Türkiye, FOAI-15 provided a productive platform for discussing current approaches to writing assessment.
During the event, instructors from various universities shared their experiences and institutional practices regarding writing assessment systems and methods. Lecturer Fatih Taşkaya from Beykoz University School of Foreign Languages attended the event on behalf of our University.
The forum began with the opening speech delivered by Prof. Dr. Claudia Harsch, titled “What Does It Mean to Be a B1-Level Learner?” This was followed by focus group meetings and presentations that encouraged participants to exchange ideas and experiences.
The one-and-a-half-day event concluded with a group photo session and a certificate ceremony for 70 educators from universities across Türkiye.
