Assist. Prof. Erdinç Kaygusuz’s Article Featured in The Children’s Media Yearbook 2026

Assist. Prof. Erdinç Kaygusuz, a faculty member at our university, has contributed an opinion piece to The Children’s Media Yearbook 2026, published by the UK-based Children’s Media Foundation.

Edited by Helen Freeman and Hannie Kirkham, the yearbook brings together academics and industry professionals working in the field of children's media. Assist. Prof. Kaygusuz contributed to the publication with his article titled “Blaming Video Games is Easy; Understanding Violence is Not.” In the article, he critically examines societal assumptions that link video games to violence and provides a comprehensive review of the scientific evidence surrounding the issue.

The yearbook will be officially launched in early July 2026 as part of the Children’s Media Conference (CMC), held in the United Kingdom.

We congratulate Assist. Prof. Kaygusuz on this achievement and wish him continued success in his academic endeavors.
