Welcome to the Business Administration (Turkish) Program!

Business Administration (Turkish) program equips students who aim to understand the dynamics of the business world, become entrepreneurs, or take on managerial roles at various levels within organizations, with a solid academic foundation, a strategic vision, and practice-oriented skills.

Mission

The mission of the Business Administration (Turkish) program is to train future managers and business professionals who are committed to societal ethical values, think critically and innovatively, and follow technological developments in light of global business and academic advancements.

The vision of the Business Administration (Turkish) program is to integrate a liberal and innovative educational process with practical application by equipping students with competencies aligned with the current requirements of the business world.

Program Learning Outcomes

The Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) define the knowledge, skills, and competencies expected from graduates. The defined PLOs for this program are:

  • Applies the theoretical knowledge of fundamental areas of management science such as strategic management, organization, accounting, finance, marketing and human resources.
  • Has the knowledge in complementary/supportive fields of management science such as mathematics, statistics, behavioral sciences, law, and information technologies.
  • Plans and uses economic, technological and information resources and tools effectively in real business situations with the help of appropriate theories and methods.
  • Develops solutions for regional and global issues with a scientific logic.
  • Applies theoretical knowledge in business life as an intern for one semester.
  • Systematically and effectively presents the learning outcomes, supports his/her arguments with quantitative and qualitative data, uses written, oral and visual communication means to a group of people including both experts and non-experts.
  • Has a critical evaluation on existing norms and standards in the projects under his/her responsibility.
  • Has the problem-solving capacity, takes responsibility for working as a teammate, leading in situations whenever it calls for duty, and develops competency to manage change and conflict.
  • Represents ethical values and has social responsibility awareness in business environment.
  • Has the capacity for evaluating global changes and implement innovation and innovative work principles.
  • Has an English level of at least at B2+ specified in the European Language Portfolio.

Program Educational Objectives

  • Program Educational Objectives are the those describing what the graduates are expected to attain or achieve in their academic and/or professional life after a few years of graduation. In this context, Programme Educational Objectives defined for this program are as follows:
  • Students acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of basic and complementary fields of management science by having competency in each functions fulfilled by modern management.
  • Students effectively manage economic, technological and human resources of a business with best available techniques.
  • Students have critical and innovative thinking, problem-solving capacity, time management capability and develop team-work, leadership and communication skills.
  • Students apply business ethics and standards acknowledging the importance of social and environmental sustainability.
  • Students adopt life-long learning principle and have necessary skills to manage change.

Our Alumni

The program has been graduating students since the 2021–2022 academic year. Our university supports career planning through the Career Planning course, Career Days, and the Career Center. Activities such as Industry Meetings, Brand Courses, and Technical Visits are organized to support students’ career development before graduation.

Applied Education

In their final year, students apply their theoretical knowledge in real-life settings through Workplace Practice Education. Many students receive job offers from the institutions where they complete this training and report that the experience significantly enhances their personal development and job prospects.

Students prepare a graduation project specific to the institution where they train and present it as a poster to a jury. This process helps them internalize their training and improve their presentation skills.

Second Foreign Language Opportunities

English, Professional English, and Academic English courses are compulsory in our program. For students who wish to learn a foreign language other than English, elective courses in other languages are also offered.

Through partnerships with international universities, students benefit from exchange programs and international scholarships, especially the Erasmus+ program. Our Erasmus+ partner institutions include:

Double Major and Minor Programs

Students can pursue double majors or minors in other departments of the university through bilateral agreements.

Research Opportunities

Students interested in academic research can participate in faculty projects, either voluntarily or as paid assistants, or apply for TÜBİTAK support under faculty supervision.

Student Clubs

There are dozens of student clubs at our university. The Business Club, established in 2018 by our program students, offers our students opportunities to socialize, take initiative, and express their creativity.

Events

With conferences, seminars, panels, industry meetings, technical trips, and brand lectures organized by our program, students have the chance to gain knowledge and career opportunities in up-to-date topics such as business administration, entrepreneurship, management, start-ups, and more, through expert guests. Additionally, advisory board meetings held at the department level—attended by representatives from academia, industry, and ensure that the department remains current and active at all times.

Under the Department of Business Administration at the Graduate Programs Institute, we offer 13 different master’s programs. Five of these programs are taught in English, while the remaining eight are in Turkish. Four of thoose with thesis, while nine are non-thesis.
