The culture of gastronomy is now seen as a branch of art all over the world, and chefs who experience the food experience that appeals to all senses can manifest themselves in international platforms.
Beykoz University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department; was established within the Faculty of Art and Design. The purpose of our department is; in the direction of undergraduate education and internship to raise individuals who have contemporary values, are conscious of ethical issues that are constantly renewing themselves, and that have an understanding that will contribute to their country and society. We aim to train qualified chefs in the sector by giving a 4-year bachelor program to our students who want to have a professional career in culinary arts and food services.
During their four-year academic education, students will have the opportunity to learn the subtleties of Turkish and World cuisine with their knowledge equipment in the fields of nutrition, food science, food hygiene, food and beverage management and marketing, and turn them into practice in their theoretical cuisine. In addition to the applied courses, the program also includes theoretical courses that will enable students to grow up as qualified operators and managers.
The food materials that our students, who will study in the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts and Cooking, will be used in the kitchen practice lessons during the year are provided by the university. Students will obtain the uniform and knife sets at a discount from the company that our university has contracted as of the first semester of the kitchen classes.
