The first Quality Commission Meeting of the 2025–2026 Spring Semester at Beykoz University was held on 19 February 2026 at the Kanlıca Meeting Hall of the Faculty of Business and Administrative Sciences Campus. During the meeting, key agenda items regarding the University’s quality assurance system, strategic management processes, and student participation mechanisms were discussed.
As the first agenda item, the definition of the Strategic Plan and process performance indicators was evaluated. It was emphasized that performance indicators should be structured in a measurable, traceable, and institutionally aligned manner.
Under the second agenda item, the methods to be followed by academic and administrative units in determining process performance indicators within the scope of the Integrated Quality Management System were shared. It was stated that a data-driven approach should be adopted in the selection of indicators.
In addition, the planning process for IQMS information sessions was discussed, highlighting the importance of unit-based briefing activities.
Another agenda item focused on the 2024–2025 Institutional Self-Evaluation Report writing process and coordination efforts. Commission members were informed about the process, and the importance of cooperation, coordination, and an evidence-based reporting approach was underlined.
Within the scope of the meeting, the updating of Beykoz University Student Quality Representatives (BEY-KAL) by academic units was also addressed, and information was provided about the meeting program to be held on 24 February 2026 with the Rector, Prof. Dr. Burak Küntay.
In the final part of the meeting, Turan Karadağ, the BEY-KAL Representative and Student Representative of the Quality Commission, took the floor to share students’ requests and feedback with the commission members, emphasizing the critical role of student participation in quality assurance processes.
Beykoz University continues to pursue its efforts to strengthen strategic management, process monitoring, and stakeholder participation through Quality Commission meetings, guided by a sustainable and continuous improvement approach.
