The Student Quality Representatives of Beykoz University (BEY-KAL) met with Rector Prof. Dr. Burak Küntay on February 24, 2026, at the Faculty of Business and Administrative Sciences Campus.
In the first part of the program, an orientation session was held for students who had newly joined the BEY-KAL group. The Quality Coordinator, Assist. Hüsniye Fırat, shared an overview of the purpose of student quality representation, expectations, ongoing activities, and working principles.
Following this, Ayşenur Abaklı, representative of the B’Support Student Support and Solution Center, took the floor and provided information about the center’s areas of activity, support mechanisms offered to students, and application processes. She also explained the channels through which students can reach the center.
Fredy Turatsinze, representative of the International Students Support and Integration Unit, then briefed participants on the services provided for international students at the University, adaptation processes, and the unit’s operational structure.
In the continuation of the program, Prof. Dr. Küntay listened to students’ opinions, suggestions, and requests and shared his evaluations. During the meeting, students raised issues related to curriculum changes, course schedule conflicts, software problems in computer laboratories, the grading curve system, and various academic and administrative processes. Prof. Dr. Küntay responded to these topics and shared his assessments regarding solution processes.
Based on the issues discussed during the meeting, a detailed set of meeting minutes outlining the actions to be taken was prepared and shared with both the students and the university administration.
Prof. Dr. Küntay stated that he would like these meetings to be held at least twice in each academic term and emphasized the importance of active participation by all quality ambassadors.
Once again, Beykoz University demonstrated its continued commitment to viewing student participation as one of the fundamental components of its quality assurance system.
