Quality Commission Meeting Held

The Beykoz University Quality Commission Meeting was held on May 5, 2026, in the Rectorate Senate Meeting Room. During the meeting, current developments regarding the quality assurance activities carried out at our University were evaluated, and important topics related to the internal audit process, BKYS practices, and quality management processes were discussed.

In the first part of the meeting, the process regarding the updating of unit quality working groups was evaluated. In addition, information was provided about the focus working groups to be established under the titles of Leadership and Quality, Education, Research and Development, and Social Contribution, and the importance of determining members who will actively take part in these groups was emphasized.

One of the prominent agenda items of the meeting was the 2026 internal audit planning. It was stated that the internal audit process should be completed before the ISO audit to be held in August, and it was emphasized that conducting the process within the framework of a peer evaluation approach with the participation of academic staff, administrative staff, and students would contribute to the dissemination of the quality culture. In this context, it was announced that internal auditor training sessions would be planned during May.

The meeting also included information regarding Corrective and Improvement Activities (CIA) processes. It was decided that the informative presentations prepared to ensure that processes are carried out more effectively and with a common understanding across units would be shared during unit quality meetings.

The activity report covering the January–April period regarding BKYS usage was also shared with the commission members. The efforts of the units in activity and evidence entry processes were evaluated, and views were exchanged on making BKYS usage more effective throughout the university.

In the final part of the meeting, the opinions and suggestions conveyed by student representatives were also discussed. Evaluations were made regarding campus security, student feedback processes, and awareness activities, while attention was drawn to the importance of practices that would strengthen student participation.

Through the meeting, it is aimed to strengthen efforts to carry out quality assurance processes at our university with a participatory, sustainable, and continuous improvement-oriented approach.
