Within the scope of our University’s Integrated Management System (IMS), an Internal Auditor Training was organized on 17 June for academic unit representatives in preparation for internal audit activities. The training was conducted by Quality Coordinator Dr. Hüsniye Fırat and Internal Audit Coordinator Dr. Hami Aydın.
In the first session of the training, which was planned in two sessions, participants were provided with fundamental information on management system standards, the ISO 19011 Guidelines for Management System Auditing, and internal audit processes. In this context, information was shared regarding the purpose, scope, and principles of internal audit activities, as well as the duties and responsibilities of auditors.
In the second session of the training, practical activities were carried out. Evaluations were conducted based on the 2026 Internal Audit Question Set prepared by the Quality Commission, and participants had the opportunity to work on sample cases they may encounter during the internal audit process.
As part of the internal audit preparations aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the university’s quality assurance system and strengthening a culture of continuous improvement, a second training program for administrative unit representatives will be held on 22 June. Following the completion of the trainings, internal audit visits will be initiated across academic and administrative units in line with the prepared schedule, ensuring that the university’s quality processes are reviewed through a peer evaluation approach.
