As part of the preparations for the internal audit process, which is one of the key components of our University's quality assurance efforts, an Internal Auditor Training was organized on June 22 for administrative unit representatives and Beykoz University Student Quality Ambassadors (BEY-KAL). The training was delivered by Quality Coordinator Assist. Prof. Hüsniye Fırat.
In the first part of the training, participants were informed about the purpose, scope, and procedures of the internal audit process. Particular emphasis was placed on the principles of impartiality, objectivity, and evidence-based evaluation that internal auditors must adhere to throughout the process. The knowledge, skills, and competencies expected of an effective internal auditor were also discussed.
The program continued with practical exercises based on the 2026 Internal Audit Question Set prepared by the Quality Coordination Office. Participants had the opportunity to gain detailed insights into sample questions and evaluation methods to be used during internal audit visits.
In the final part of the training, participants completed a 10-question assessment test. An evaluation survey was also shared to gather feedback and suggestions regarding the training program. The event concluded with the presentation of Internal Auditor Training Certificates to the participants.
Following the completion of the training sessions attended by academic and administrative unit representatives as well as student quality ambassadors, internal audit visits will be carried out across the University in accordance with the established schedule. Through these visits, quality processes will be reviewed using a peer evaluation approach, contributing to institutional development and continuous improvement efforts.
