The 2026 Internal Audit Process conducted within the scope of Beykoz University's Integrated Management System (IMS) was successfully completed following the conclusion of on-site audit visits, which began on June 23 and ended on July 1.
Throughout the process, academic and administrative units were evaluated through a peer review approach by internal audit teams comprising academic and administrative staff as well as representatives of the Beykoz University Student Quality Ambassadors (BEY-KAL). During the audits, units were assessed using questionnaires prepared in line with the Integrated Management System. The evaluations focused on quality assurance practices, process management, risk and improvement activities, as well as environmental and occupational health and safety (OHS) practices.
Throughout the audit visits, the Quality Coordination Office accompanied the audit teams as observers to ensure that the process was carried out in accordance with the planned methodology. At the academic units, deans or directors, vice deans/directors, department and program chairs, and faculty secretaries participated in the evaluation meetings. At the administrative units, directors and personnel responsible for quality processes took part in the assessments.
To support the continuous improvement of the process, brief evaluation surveys were conducted at the end of each audit visit to gather feedback and suggestions from the audited units. In addition, a separate feedback survey was administered to academic, administrative, and student representatives serving as internal auditors to evaluate their experiences and observations throughout the process.
Following the completion of the internal audits, the audit reports and participant feedback will be comprehensively analyzed and compiled into an institutional evaluation report. The findings will be shared with the University's senior management and communicated to all units to guide future improvement efforts.
Now in its third consecutive year with broad stakeholder participation, the Internal Audit Process has once again served as an important initiative in strengthening the culture of quality assurance at Beykoz University, promoting the sharing of good practices among units, and reinforcing the University's commitment to continuous improvement.
