The Beykoz University Quality Commission convened on 7 July at the Rectorate Campus. Held in a hybrid format, the meeting focused on evaluating the outcomes of the recently completed internal audit process and discussing the quality initiatives to be carried out in the upcoming academic year.
One of the main agenda items was the internal audit process conducted between 23 June and 1 July. Reports on the audit visits, survey results, and feedback processes, carried out with the participation of academic and administrative staff as well as student representatives, were presented to the Commission members.
During the meeting, the draft Stakeholder Identification and Feedback Guideline, B'MYS Response Preparation Guideline, BKYS Unit User Guide, and Traditional Institutional Events and Ceremonies Calendar were also presented for the Commission's review. Proposals to organize a Quality Day / Sustainability Day across the University to further strengthen the culture of quality were also discussed.
The Commission members also reviewed the planning of workshops to be held at the end of July in response to the areas identified as requiring improvement in the 2024 Institutional Accreditation Report. The workshops, which will focus on Leadership and Governance, Education and Training, Research and Development, and Societal Contribution, aim to evaluate existing practices and develop improvement plans for the new academic period.
The meeting also included updates on initiatives to monitor the activities of coordinatorships through BKYS, strengthen the transfer of quality assurance processes into the University's institutional memory, and reinforce a data-driven management approach across the institution.
The meeting concluded with a comprehensive evaluation of the quality assurance and continuous improvement activities planned ahead of the new academic year.
