At Beykoz University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, we aim to train engineers and architects equipped with the knowledge and skills required by the global world. All Programs are with Scholarship

In our faculty, all of our programs are with scholarships, and the quotas of Computer Engineering, Management Engineering, Software Engineering and Architecture programs are with 100%, 75% and 50% scholarships.

Engineers and Architects Equipped with Competencies

Today, the business world expects university graduates to enter the business life by acquiring some critical competencies as well as theoretical knowledge in their fields. With the “Competency Development Program” of our university, we aim for our students to graduate by developing themselves in the basic and managerial 14 Competencies required by the 21st century business world as well as the knowledge of the field they study. In this way, our engineers and architects graduated from our faculty, as well as their knowledge of the business world, are taken with the critical basic and managerial competencies they have gained during their education and start their careers with a great advantage.

If you want to build a solid answer to this question, you should start to make a difference during your engineering education from the very beginning. At Beykoz University, you have many options to differentiate yourself from your competitors.

One-quarter of the Courses are Elective

A quarter of the courses are elective in all programs at Beykoz University. In addition to compulsory courses, students take elective courses named Field Elective Courses, Competency Development Elective Courses. They select these courses from certain course pools or completely freely. Thus, he can improve himself in his own field of ​​interest by taking the courses he is interested in and wants to take.

Horizontal Transfer

It is easy to move from one program to another at Beykoz University. The first year of engineering programs is common; if the student moves from one program to the other at the end of the first year, there will be no course loss. The fact that one fourth of the courses is elective at Beykoz University also facilitates horizontal transfer. The loss of the course is minimal, since the transitional student can enroll many of the courses he has taken in the place of the elective courses.

Minor Program

Minor program is for the student to specialize in that branch by taking a certain number of courses from another branch beside his own branch. For example, a student studying computer engineering can become a software engineer specializing in computer hardware by completing the computer hardware minor given by software engineering. Or, for example, a student studying business engineering can be a business engineer specialized in logistics by completing the logistics minor. Students who complete the minor program are given a minor certificate.

Double Major Program

Studying a double major is to complete two programs at once. The student completes both the program he is enrolled in and the program she has completed in double major. For example, a student studying industrial engineering can do a double major with business administration. The student must meet the graduation requirements of both the program he is enrolled in and the program he has completed in double major. A double major student receives the diploma of both branches (double diploma).Applied Learning in the Workplace

Applied learning at work is a training model that combines education with work at work. In this model, work in the workplace is integrated with education; Working with the university is carried out together. In this model, companies actively participate in training. With this model, graduates of Beykoz University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture start their business life one step ahead.

Exchange Programs

Beykoz University students can study at universities abroad within the framework of exchange programs and dual agreements. Exchange with European universities is carried out within the framework of Erasmus programs. Students continue their education at European universities for one or two semesters. Under the Erasmus program, courses taken at a university abroad are regarded for graduation. Students from European universities also study at Beykoz University for one or two semesters with the Erasmus program. Beykoz Erasmus students study for one or two semesters in these universities within the framework of exchange agreements with universities in Europe, USA and other countries and their courses are regarded for their graduation.

Common Programs

Studies are carried out at Beykoz University to develop joint programs with universities abroad. Students participating in these programs will complete some of their education in Istanbul and some abroad, and receive diplomas from two universities.

Summer Schools Abroad

Beykoz University sees the whole world as a university campus; it organizes summer schools together with universities abroad so that its students can see the world and see the world universities. Foreign summer schools are organized in all branches, primarily in architecture.

Well-Defined Programs

Beykoz University Engineering and Architecture programs comply with international standards. It provides the Bologna criteria and the National Qualifications Framework criteria. Engineering programs have been prepared taking into account the accreditation criteria of ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) and MÜDEK (Engineering Education programs evaluation and Accreditation Association), architecture program NAAB (National Architectural Accrediting Board) and MİAK (Architecture Accreditation Board).

Engineering and Architecture programs at Beykoz University are well-defined. Program educational objectives and program learning outcomes are clearly defined. Program educational objectives describe the graduate profile, and program learning outcomes describe the knowledge, skills and competencies of graduates.
