Director's Message

Dear Prospective Students,

Having entered the academic life in 2008, Beykoz Vocational School of Logistics (BLMYO), has remained focused on the main theme and goal of providing the much needed, well-equipped workforce as employees and mid-level managers  for the logistics sector since the day it was established.

At Beykoz Vocational School of Logistics (BLMYO) we seek to enable our students to choose their own areas of specialization with the help of our course contents structured in both freight and passenger transportation, so that our students can be employed in the entire field of  Foreign Trade and Logistics. For that purpose, we offer Foreign Trade, E-Commerce and Marketing, Logistics, Maritime and Port Management, Rail Systems Management, Civil Aviation Cabin Services programs in our Vocational School as well as Computer Programming and Information Security Technology programs, which have also been structured to take the IT needs of the logistics sector into account. Moreover,  in line with the content and objectives of the program, all of our Vocational Field courses in our programs aim to create a holistic structure through technical trips, field applications besides ensuring the participation of private sector professionals. As a result of our philosophy, which can be summarised as "learn by doing, learn on the spot", we not only complement our theoretical courses with field applications but also supplement them with case studies, which in turn supports our goal of ensuring that our graduates will have gained the ability to apply theoretical knowledge as well as theoretical knowledge once they have finished our programs.

As Beykoz Vocational School of Logistics, there are two other issues that we remain proud of: Our are our visibility in getting to be international and our success in Vertical Transfer Exams (DGS). Since the Academic Year of 2011-2012- the year when we our Erasmus agreements took effect and our first student went abroad-, we have sent more than 110 students abroad to continue their education there for a semester or two. We have also signed various protocols and collaborations for internships and employment abroad.  In addition, we have been among the most successful Vocational Schools in the DGS ranking for many years thanks to our Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) success rates in all our programs. We take special pride in witnessing many of our successful students that wish to continue their education in relevant faculties and in their success afterwards.

Before choosing your universities and writing down your preferences, I would strongly recommend you to take a look at the universities we have signed Erasmus agreements with in addition to our BLMYO Academic Advisory Board and our other collaborations in the sector. Due to the invaluable social capital lent by our founding foundation the “Turkish Logistics Research and Education Foundation” as well as our highly focused education structure, we have turned into a significant Vocational School that has reached over 3000 employees in various fields of the Logistics sector. We look forward to meeting all our prospective students that plan to build a career in the logistics industry and that are willing to make the necessary effort to reach their goals.

Best regards,
