Dr. Senem Tanberk will be the guest of the Current Research / Project Topics Graduate Course on Tuesday, 16.11.2021 at 19:00. We welcome our students and anyone who wants to participate in the open lecture on 'A Brief Introduction to Deep Learning and Video Analysis'.
It is aimed to share basic information about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Learning (DL). For this purpose, we will focus on general concepts, history and important algorithms/methods related to ML/DL. A second goal would be to give insight into which problems deep learning approaches can be applied to. We will talk about industrial use cases, domains and applications for AI/DL. Finally, there will be an implementation for a basic video analysis project with Python. In this way, we will experiment with a video classification task with DL techniques in Python.
Senem Tanberk was born in Düzce. She received her undergraduate, graduate and doctorate degrees from Istanbul Technical University Computer Engineering, Marmara University Mechatronics, and Doğuş University Computer Engineering / Artificial Intelligence (AI). She is also an IT Professional in telecommunications, finance, and banking sector for over 15 years. She has special expertise in Telco pricing and billing, revenue and financial reports, DWH support, software design and development, and advanced PL/SQL (Oracle) perfection. She has been also an Oracle PL/SQL Trainer in Telco. Her research interests include deep learning, machine learning, big data, data science, robotic programming, embedded programming, simulation programming, and graphical programming. She is a reviewer for an IEEE journal involving computer vision and deep learning.
She has been working as "R&D Strategies and Innovation Project Manager" at Orion Innovation Turkey/NetRD for about 2 years.
