The moderator of the event is Assoc. Prof. Pınar Sayan. 

Dr. Erol Sağlam

Dr. Erol Saglam is a social anthropologist working on reconfigurations of statecraft and the changing parameters of masculinities at the intersections of conspiracy theories, collective memory, societal violence, and statecraft. Following his doctoral studies at  Birkbeck, University of London, Saglam worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Stockholm University and Freie Universität Berlin and was a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge. Saglam’s publications dealt with conspiracy theories and their socio-political effects, everyday dynamics that forge and maintain masculinities, vigilantism, bureaucracies, and ethnographic methods. Saglam is currently a lecturer at Istanbul Medeniyet University and Marie Curie Fellow at University College London.
