THE AIM OF THE PROGRAM
Considered as a fact that connects complex, dynamic and different fields and creates interaction, communication is a challenging process that must be designed and managed correctly. The indicator, on the other hand, appears when a comment is entered between what is perceived concrete and what it represents.
Considering that communication is an inseparable part of social life, perceiving these indicators that surround our environment, understanding, learning to see, not seeing, being able to distinguish, being able to solve and analyze under which form these narratives are given makes it important for semiotics studies.
This master's program, which combines the fields of Communication Design and Semiotics, under one roof, aims to train experts who can grasp and manage the technological and aesthetic dimensions of communication design in an integrated way.
WHO CAN APPLY?
The program is open to the application of graduates from different fields, as well as communication, design and art branches.
PROGRAM WITH THESIS AND WITHOUT THESIS
Beykoz University Communication Design and Semiotics Master Program is offered both with and without thesis. While the program without thesis is for professional life, those who complete the program with thesis can continue their education at the doctorate level if they wish.
PROGRAM DURATION
The master's program without thesis is completed in at least two and at most three semesters. The master's program with thesis is completed in minimum 4 and maximum 6 semesters. In case of a lack of attendance, the registration can be frozen for a maximum of 2 semesters.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Communication Design and Semiotics Graduate Program without Thesis consists of 10 courses and Master's Term Project. Communication Design and Semiotics Master's Program consists of 7 courses, 1 seminar course and Master Thesis.

APPLICATION AND EVALUATION

CLASSES PLACE, DAYS AND HOURS
Classes are held in Kavacık campus of Beykoz University. Course days and hours are scheduled on weekdays and Saturdays, taking into account the students' working status. If it is given for a specific institution with an institutional agreement, the courses can be done partially or completely on the place of the institution.

Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design Graduate Program is led by the Art and Design Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Bengisu Bayrak Shahmiri and supported by a strong academic staff. The academic staff consists of both young academics who are dedicated to the current research subjects of the field and academics who stand out in their fields.
