THE AIM OF THE PROGRAM

In our country and in the world, the construction sector is one of the sectors that sustain the national economy in terms of the sector's own economic size, the size of the building materials industry and employment size. The construction process is a complex process due to the diversity of materials, equipment and technology used and the production teams of different specialties come together. Managing this process within the framework of cost, quality and time constraints is the main axis of the construction industry today. Performance and efficiency in building management is the leading factor that determines the performance and efficiency of the construction industry. The key to the construction industry is the success in building management.

The aim of the Master's Program in Building Management With Thesis is to train competent building management experts and specialists who will conduct research and academic studies in this field to meet this need.


CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates of the Building Management Master's Program can work in the construction industry as a manager in all areas and project management companies, from operations and production management to sales and marketing, purchasing and finance to human resources. In addition, they can continue their education at the doctoral level and become researchers and join the academic world.


WHO CAN APPLY?

Those who have received a bachelor's degree from a department of any 4-year institution of higher education may apply to the Building Management Master's Program With Thesis.


PROGRAM DURATION

The duration of the Master's Program With Thesis is minimum 4 semesters and completed in maximum 6 semesters. In case of absence due to valid reasons, a maximum of 2 terms of registration may be frozen.


PROGRAM STRUCTURE

The Construction Management Master's Program consists of 8 courses, one of which is a seminar course, and a Master's Thesis.

Courses consist of compulsory and elective courses. Some of the courses are:

  • Management and Organization in Construction
  • Financial Management and Business Finance in Construction
  • Organizational Behavior and Human Relations Management in Construction

  • Strategic Management in Construction
  • Risk Management in Construction
  • Contract Management in Construction
  • Construction Machinery Management
  • Occupational Safety Management in Construction
  • Construction Sector Economy

In accordance with student interest, a certain number of courses can be taken from other branches with the approval of the advisor.

The student prepares and presents a master's thesis under the supervision of an advisor in the master's program with thesis.

The language of instruction of the Building Management Program is Turkish.


APPLICATION AND EVALUATION

CLASSES PLACE, DAYS AND HOURS

Classes are held at Beykoz University Kavacık campus on weekdays between 19.00 - 21.45; and between 10: 00-16: 00 on Saturdays.

With the agreements that can be made between our university and institutions, a special program can be created only for the employees of the relevant institution that meet the above-mentioned admission requirements. In this case, the classes can be held in a place determined by the institution partially or completely.
