Marine and Port Management

Purpose of the Program

Marine transport is the oldest form of transport in the world, dating back to 3200 BC, and 84% of the world transport volume, which reaches 13.55 billion tons today, is carried out by sea transport. According to the data of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure in our country, approximately 310 million tons of foreign trade transports are carried out by seaway. The maritime sector, which increases every year depending on the trade volume and whose development and change is never-ending with the effect of both technology and globalization, is structured in two main areas as "maritime trade" and "sea tourism". The primary requirement of the maritime transport sector, which consists of many interdependent sub-branches and sectors, is trained personnel and qualified workforce.
