Welcome to the Foreign Trade Program!

For students aiming to succeed in national and international trade, our Foreign Trade Program offers a strong professional foundation, a global vision, and practice-oriented competencies.

Our Mission

Our mission is to train qualified professionals in the field of foreign trade who are needed both nationally and internationally; who can combine theoretical knowledge with practical application; who adhere to ethical values, think analytically, and adapt to the dynamics of global trade.

Our Vision

Our vision is to become a pioneering program that is recognized regionally and internationally in the field of foreign trade education, follows sectoral developments closely, and offers an innovative, practice-based, and sustainable education model.

Scope of the Education Program

Our curriculum focuses on three core sub-fields of Foreign Trade:

  • Foreign Trade

  • Logistics Management

  • Customs Legislation

In addition, our program allows students to take elective courses from other departments based on their interests.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the program, our students will be able to:

  • Have a fundamental understanding of foreign trade, customs, and logistics legislation; manage processes in line with national and international regulations,

  • Possess knowledge of trade financing, foreign trade accounting, and international payment methods, and apply them,

  • Develop international marketing strategies and manage e-commerce processes,

  • Identify problems, generate solutions, and actively participate in decision-making processes in their field,

  • Effectively use foreign trade software and related packages,

  • Act in accordance with professional ethical principles,

  • Explain logistics and supply chain management processes and evaluate them in conjunction with foreign trade processes,

  • Use basic technical terminology related to the field,

  • Evaluate foreign trade policies based on the global economy, the Turkish economy, and EU relations,

  • Be knowledgeable about customs procedures, free zones, and foreign trade incentives,

  • Take responsibility and communicate effectively in individual or team settings regarding their field.

Program Educational Objectives

Our graduates can:

  • Work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, EU representations in Turkey, and banks,

  • Be employed in companies providing customs services,

  • Pursue an academic career by continuing to undergraduate, then graduate and doctoral programs, and produce scientific research and publications at universities or research centers,

  • Work in various departments of national and international companies.

Our Graduates

Since 2010, our program has been graduating students. Our university contributes to students’ career planning through Career Days and Career Center activities that bring together sector representatives and our alumni.

Applied Education Process

Our students have the opportunity to implement their theoretical knowledge through Workplace Practice Training during their final year. A significant number of our graduates receive job offers from the institutions where they completed this training, and all report that this experience positively influenced both their personal development and job-seeking process.

International Exchange Programs

Thanks to relationships established with foreign universities, our students can benefit from exchange programs and international scholarships. In particular, they actively participate in the Erasmus+ program.

Double Major Opportunities

Through bilateral agreements, our students are offered the opportunity to pursue double majors with other programs at the university.

Research Opportunities

Students interested in academic research can participate in research projects of our faculty members, either voluntarily or for a stipend, or apply for TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) support under faculty supervision.

Student Clubs

Our university hosts numerous student clubs. At Beykoz University, students can enrich their personal development through cultural and artistic events that support general culture and artistic knowledge.

Events

As part of industry-student interaction, we organize events with sector experts and field trips that offer students the opportunity to follow current foreign trade practices and learn on-site.
