Beykoz Vocational School of Logistics organized a comprehensive technical visit to the TCDD Halkalı Depot Directorate on December 3, 2025, in line with its vision of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience. This significant event, attended by students of the Railway Systems Management Program, provided an opportunity to observe sector-specific operational processes directly on site.
Lecturer Özhan Görçün also accompanied the visit, offering on-site explanations about various technical processes. Students had the chance to reinforce the theoretical knowledge they gained in their courses through hands-on observations at one of Türkiye’s leading railway operation centers. Key areas such as depot and logistics management processes, operational preparation of wagons and locomotives, maintenance-repair activities, the functioning of signaling systems, and critical aspects of station management were examined in detail.
This technical visit offered students a valuable learning experience by enabling them to gain a comprehensive understanding of the complex processes involved in railway transportation, thereby strengthening their professional knowledge and skills. As the Beykoz University Railway Systems Management Program, we continue to carry out applied training activities with the aim of educating our students as competent railway systems professionals of the future.
