Beykoz Vocational School of Logistics
As part of the sector–student meetings organized by the Maritime and Port Management Program of Beykoz Logistics Vocational School, Simge Bingöl, Crew Specialist at Becks Tankers, was a guest in the Ship and Fleet Management course.
Simge Bingöl shared her knowledge and experience with students regarding current practices and operational processes in the maritime industry. In this context, crew planning processes, the management of personnel changes, communication dynamics between shore and ship, and the operational challenges encountered in these processes were discussed in detail.
Additionally, important evaluations were made on the impact of onboard issues on commercial activities, the role of shipping agencies in personnel processes, the rights and responsibilities of personnel within the framework of marine insurance, and staffing and training processes under the Safety Management System.
This meeting, where real sector experience was shared, contributed to reinforcing students’ theoretical knowledge through practical insights.
