Beykoz University Meets with İŞKUR to Strengthen Cooperation

An important meeting was held between Beykoz University and İŞKUR to develop new projects aimed at enhancing the employability of students and graduates, as well as to strengthen the existing collaboration between the two institutions.

The meeting held on April 8 was attended by Türkan Polat, Ümraniye İŞKUR Branch Manager; Rüveyda Keskin, Coordinator; Recep Şentürk, Workforce Services Chief; and Fevzi Uçkan, Job and Vocational Counselor from Ümraniye Service Center, representing İŞKUR. From Beykoz University, participants included Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Baki Aksu, Vocational School Director Assist. Prof. Hande Sağlam, Vice Director of the Vocational School Assist. Prof. Serhan Karadeniz, Vice Director of Beykoz Logistics Vocational School Assist. Prof. Başak Kuru, Acting Director of the Career Center Birsen Usta, Career Center Specialist Mert Doğuç Dağlı, and Koray Soysal from the Lifelong Learning Center.

During the meeting, topics such as strengthening university–public sector collaborations, better preparing students for the labor market, and increasing employment opportunities for graduates were discussed. The discussions included a comprehensive exchange of ideas on joint training programs to support students’ career development, professional development workshops, career days, internship and employment-oriented projects, and new models of cooperation aligned with labor market needs. Additionally, potential areas of collaboration were evaluated, focusing on implementing practice-based training programs to enhance students’ competencies and developing sustainable projects that connect students with employers.

The meeting concluded with a mutual emphasis on goodwill and collaboration, highlighting the commitment to strengthening the partnership between Beykoz University and İŞKUR and taking concrete steps to support the career journeys of young individuals.
