Students of the Foreign Trade Program at Beykoz Logistics Vocational School carried out a technical visit to Ulusal Antrepo within the scope of the Customs Procedures course, accompanied by Lecturer Semanur Yalçın.
As part of the visit, students had the opportunity to observe warehouse (bonded warehouse) operations—an essential component of foreign trade processes—on site. During the visit, detailed information was provided on procedures starting from the admission of imported and transit goods into the warehouse, to customs clearance processes, operations carried out under the warehouse regime, and related documentation flows.
In addition, on-site practices within the warehouse area were examined; storage processes, loading and unloading operations, and measures taken to ensure the protection and security of goods were demonstrated in practice. Students were also informed about the systems used in warehouse operations, inventory tracking, occupational health and safety practices, and inspection processes carried out within the framework of customs regulations.
This technical visit aimed to enable students to observe the theoretical knowledge gained in class within a practical environment and to directly experience sectoral processes. Observing real field applications contributed to enhancing students’ professional awareness and gaining practical insights into the industry.
