Club Purpose
The Rail Systems Club at Beykoz University aims to closely follow the developing rail systems in Turkey, review educational programs, and contribute to the development and initiation of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level programs (such as Rail Systems Engineering, Rail Systems Management, etc.) in the country. The advancement of rail system technologies in Turkey is possible through increased research collaborations and the creation of new discussion platforms.
The club seeks to:
- Bring together industry and public institutions to identify challenges and evaluate them in a scientific environment.
- Organize symposiums, workshops, panels, seminars, and similar events with universities conducting research in rail systems.
- Promote ongoing rail system activities to the public, encourage public transport, and organize seminars in schools and other civil society organizations in collaboration with official and private institutions.
- Collaborate with press and media organizations to inform and raise awareness among the public.
- Facilitate coordination, knowledge transfer, and collaboration among rail system operating institutions.
- Promote light rail systems, metro, and tram services through informative meetings with official and private organizations.
- Study ongoing rail system projects domestically and abroad, assist in solving challenges during project implementation, and explore solutions to sectoral problems.
- Strengthen professional, cultural, and social solidarity among club members.
- Organize social responsibility, environmental, nature, social, and sports activities to reinforce environmental awareness, love of nature, cooperation, and healthy living.
