Our Mission

The mission of the Railway Systems Management Program at Beykoz Vocational School is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental components of railway systems, operational processes, and safety procedures, thereby training a qualified and innovative workforce that meets the needs of the sector. In line with this mission, the program aims to equip its students with the following competencies:

  • The ability to identify the fundamental components of railway systems (infrastructure, superstructure, vehicles, signaling, energy systems, etc.) and explain their functions across different types of railway transportation (metro, tram, commuter train, freight train, etc.).

  • The capability to carry out the main stages of passenger and freight transportation operations in railway systems (planning, movement, monitoring, delivery, etc.) and to correctly use the basic terminology employed in these processes.

  • Knowledge of traffic flow management and control in railway systems, as well as the ability to evaluate the fundamental principles and importance of different traffic control systems.

  • The ability to implement basic safety and security procedures and standards in railway systems, assess risks, and propose preventive measures.

  • Proficiency in using basic information technologies employed in railway systems (management information systems, operational software, etc.) effectively, along with the ability to closely follow technological developments in the sector.

With this mission, our graduates will be trained as competent individuals capable of working in various fields of the railway systems sector, including operations, maintenance, logistics, safety, and management.

The vision of the Railway Systems Management Program at Beykoz Vocational School is to become a leading program—both regionally and nationally—that is preferred in the railway systems sector, stands out with the quality of its education, follows technological developments, and shapes the future of the industry. To achieve this vision, our program aims to:
