We provide education to students who will contribute to the national and global maritime industry through a curriculum that combines maritime transportation—the primary mode of global trade—with a managerial perspective and maritime culture.
Our Mission
The mission of our program is to equip students with a perspective on the professional practices and ethics of the Maritime and Port Management field, enabling them to analyze developments in national and international trade and the maritime sector from an interdisciplinary, analytical, and critical standpoint. We aim to contribute both scientifically and socially.

Our vision is to foster the development of qualified professionals who will contribute to the maritime sector and to society through an education process conducted in a free academic environment that prioritizes public benefit.
Scope of the Curriculum
Our curriculum focuses on the core areas of Maritime and Port Management and related subfields of transportation and logistics, such as Marine Tourism, Logistics Management, Foreign Trade, and Marketing Management. In addition, the program allows students to take elective courses from other programs based on their interests.

Program Educational Objectives
Our Graduates
Since its establishment in 2008, the Maritime and Port Management Associate Degree Program at Beykoz University has been part of the Beykoz Logistics Vocational School and has trained many professionals for the maritime sector. This 2-year associate degree program admits students based on their TYT (Basic Proficiency Test) scores.
Students in the program follow the 3+1 Education Model. In this model, students complete fundamental and specialized vocational courses during the first three semesters, and in the final semester, they participate in workplace-based practical training within industry companies.
Graduates of the program who succeed in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) can transfer to 4- year undergraduate programs such as:
Alternatively, they may also pursue undergraduate studies abroad.
Career Opportunities for Graduates
Graduates of the Maritime and Port Management Program find employment opportunities in both maritime trade and marine tourism sectors.
Students who choose to pursue careers in maritime trade can work in:
Ports,Ship management companies,Shipping agencies,Ship supply companies,Brokerage firms,Marine insurance companies,Line agencies,Forwarding companies,Graduates who prefer to build their careers in marine tourism can be employed by:Marinas,Yacht charter and sales companies,Yacht supply companies,Cruise operation companies.
At our university, we support students in planning their careers through various initiatives such as the Career Planning course offered in the first year, Career Days—where representatives from different sectors and alumni meet with students—and the activities of our Career Center.

Practical Training Process
During their education, our students have the opportunity to put the theoretical knowledge they have acquired into practice through the Workplace-Based Training program in their final year.
Students in the program follow the 3+1 Model, where they complete core and specialized vocational courses in the first three semesters of the four-semester program, and then spend the final semester receiving practical training in industry organizations.
A significant number of our graduates receive job offers from the companies where they complete their workplace training. All graduates report that this experience has had a positive impact on both their personal development and employment prospects.
International Exchange Programs
Thanks to partnerships established with universities abroad, our students have the opportunity to benefit from exchange programs and international scholarships. In particular, our students actively participate in the Erasmus+ program. Our program's

Double Major and Minor Opportunities
Through bilateral agreements, students are offered the opportunity to pursue a Double Major or Minor Program in other departments within the university.
Research Opportunities
Students interested in academic research may participate in faculty-led research projects on a voluntary or paid basis, or apply for TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye) support under the supervision of faculty members.
Student Clubs
Our university hosts dozens of student clubs. One of them, the Maritime Club, founded by students of the program, offers opportunities for socializing, taking initiative, and expressing creativity.
Events
Through conferences, seminars, and panel discussions organized by our program, students have the chance to engage with industry experts, follow current sectoral developments and scientific advancements, and participate in field trips for hands-on learning experiences.
